Child Benefit Schedule and Insurance Information

In January 2014 the Australian Government introduced the child dental benefit schedule (CDBS) to provide dental cover for eligible children aged 2 to 17 that require essential treatment.

This treatment can be in the form of preventative treatment such as checkups, x-rays, cleanings, fluoride treatment, and fissure seals, or restorative treatment, such as root canal therapy, fillings, and in situations when the tooth is unable to be saved extractions. The government allows $1000 over a two year period, which will reset every two years.

Eligibility for the CDBS is based on a means tested scales to families who receive government payments, such as the Family Tax Benefit part A. Patients can be easily find out about eligibility by contacting Medicare on 132 011 or contacting the clinic on 03 9309 2361.

We accept cardholders of Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) who require dental treatment. This can be in the form of preventative dentistry, such as checkups and cleans, restorative treatment and complex treatment, such as crowns, bridges, and dentures. We accept all health funds via our HICAPS terminal, and are pleased to announce that we are preferred providers for nib and HCF.

It is our policy to gap free general check-up and cleanings and gap free x-rays during these exams.
